Bruno Ferenc Straub
(Nagyvárad [act.Oradea, Romania], 1914) Hungarian biochemist and politician.Prestigious biochemist, university professor, was a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (1969-1971), director of the Institute of Enzymology (since 1979) and vice-president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences 1974-1976 and since 1985).Member of the National Assembly (1985) despite not belonging to the Communist Party, between 1988 and 1990 he was President of the Republic.
