(Kolín, 1864-Prague, 1942) Czech writer.He is one of the main representatives of the realist current in his country.His collections of poems Confiteor (1887) and Magdalena (1894) and the nine volumes of Through the Conscience of the Centuries (1906-1926) stand out.).
