Emilio Lorenzo

(Puerto Segura, 1919) Spanish linguist.Doctor in modern philology and professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, he has been a member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 1980.Author of several manuals on Spanish for foreigners and of works on linguistic topics, among which are Today's Spanish, the language en ebullición , prefaced by Dámaso Alonso, and Spanish and other languages  (1980).
