Josep Aragay Blanchar

(Barcelona, 1889-Breda, 1973) Spanish painter, draftsman and ceramist.He was trained at the Llotja school and at the F.Galí academy, through whom he learned the postulates of noucentisme , a movement of which he became one of its most representative artists.He collaborated as an illustrator in various publications ( Papitu , Picarol , Almanach dels Noucentistes , Cuca Fera ).The source of the Portal del Ángel in Barcelona and the work Vacations summarize, respectively, his most brilliant contributions in the field of ceramics and painting.
