There are three women who stand out, Clara Campoamor , Victoria Kent and Margarita Nelken who became the first deputies of the Spanish Cortes, women we can still hear about.
Later, they are many more women who join the Spanish Cortes like Maria Lejarraga, Verenanda Garcia Blanco, Matilde de la Torre and Francisca Bohigas. One of the best known women, Dolores Ibarruri, known as " La Pasionaria" and Julia Alvarez Resana are part of the Popular Front government. There are still more women who stand out during this stage as Federica Montseny who is not part of the parliament as an anarchist but of great importance.

During the Spanish civil war, the Free Women Group emerges in Cataluna with anarchist ideas, an active and radical feminist group fighting as militia leaders in the front, specifically , 20,000 women. In turn, they create the magazine Mujeres Libres, in it they demand basic claims for what we see today, but also other claims that have not yet been achieved. In this group we would highlight women like Amparo Poch, Lucia Sanchez Saornil and Mercedes Comaposada.
In the era of Francoism the rights of women disappear, towards the years 60-70 there is an important economic growth in Spain by tourism, which allows another concept of women to be aware that they have more rights although in reality it is that until the Constitution of 1978 they will not be recognized.
