Émile Gallé

(Nancy, 1846- id ., 1904) French glazier and cabinetmaker.Founder of the School of Nancy, he renewed the traditional aspects of glass making and became interested in the production of opaque and semi-translucent glasses.His furniture also demonstrates the inventiveness of his spirit and his original plastic sense, inspired by plant forms.
