Józef Beck
(Warsaw, 1894-Stanesti, 1944) Polish military and politician.He was Prime Minister (1926-1930), Undersecretary of State (1930-1932) and Minister of Foreign Affairs (1932-1939).In 1938, with the support of Hitler, he obtained the cession of the district of Teschen.In 1939 he opposed the annexation of Danzig to Germany, which is why, with the arrival of German troops in Poland, he had to flee to Romania, where he was interned in Stanesti until his death.
