Jan Mone

(Metz, late 15th century-Mechelen, c., 1548) Flemish sculptor.It seems proven that, between 1516 and 1520, he worked, together with B.Ordóñez, in the retrochoir of the Cathedral of Barcelona.In the Saint-Martin de Halle church there is an alabaster altar that he made for Charles V.He is also the author of numerous funerary monuments inspired by the Italian Renaissance style (Douai, Hoogstraten, Enghein, Braine-le-Château).
