Alexandr Petróvich Sumarókov
(Saint Petersburg, 1717-Moscow, 1777) Russian writer.He is considered the creator of the neoclassical theater in Russia ( Jorev , 1747).An author of wide culture, connoisseur of classical languages and the main European languages, he wrote poems of circumstances, satires and fables, odes (to Peter the Great, to the Empress Catherine) and numerous translations with which he incorporated the Russian literature.Works of the main authors of the time.
