John Reed
(Portland, 1887-Moscow, 1920) American journalist.A renovator of historical and political reporting, he is especially remembered for his work Ten days that shook the world (1919), perhaps the most famous chronicle of the Russian revolution.Despite its early disappearance, his work exerted an enormous influence on political journalism.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1910 for three years later, he began working for the socialist-oriented daily The Masses .John Reed alternated his work as a journalist with an intense political activity that made him a famous radical leader and one of the founders of the Communist Party in the United States.
