José Muñoz Molleda
(La Línea de la Concepción, 1905-Madrid, 1988) Spanish composer.José Muñoz Molleda studied at the Madrid Conservatory with Conrado del Campo and in 1934 he won the Rome Prize; later he studied in that same city with Ottorino Respighi.He was a member of the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts and was awarded the National Music Prize on several occasions.

During the Second World War he presented in Germany his oratory The Resurrection of Lazarus (1937), which stands out for its grandiloquence orchestral.Most of his production presents a neo-romantic style and Andalusian overtones; Among other works, he created the ballets The silver and gold girl (1937) and The living rose (1954); the orchestral works Postales madrileñas (1931) and Symphony in A minor (1959), and the choral work Rimas de Santa Teresa .
