José Pijoán

(José Pijoán Soteras; Barcelona, 1881-Lausana, 1963) Spanish art critic and historian.He studied architecture in his hometown.Incorporated from a very young age to the Catalan revival, he collaborated in Pèl i Ploma , Catalunya and other newspapers.In 1905 he published his only book of poetry, El cançoner .Pijoán was one of the most active and effective collaborators in Prat de la Riba's cultural policy and was one of the founders of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, of which he was secretary.
