Fray Hortensio Félix Paravicino
(Madrid, 1580- id ., 1633) Spanish writer.After studying in Alcalá and Salamanca, he entered the Trinitarian Order, and from 1617 he held the position of royal preacher.He was the most famous sacred speaker of his time.In his expressive resources, he opted for the culteran current.His Funeral Eulogies and his courtier Sermons are notable.His poems (romances, silvas, sonnets), also of clear Gongorian influence, were published after his death ( Divine and human posthumous works , 1641).
